I’ve decided to start posting a verse of the week here on Daily Hopeful. Of course, if you read this blog regularly, you’ll note that I share Bible verses pretty consistently (almost – but not quite! – daily), but the Verse of the Week is one whose message is so powerful, timely, and relevant that it needs precious little explanation or analysis.
This passage from Ephesians 6 is much this way. The key message seems to be for us to surrender our feeble human strength and to look to the Lord first for the strength that we need to persevere. After all, the Lord possesses vast reservoirs of strength, power, and wisdom that we can tap into each day, but only after we’ve laid down the things and relationships that we rely upon for [perceived] strength and security.
I hope that today’s VOTW ministers to you in some way. God is good! ✝️
