Forever True

This passage from Psalm 111 is my choice for the verse(s) of the week for several reasons. 💛 Here are a few good ones, in my book:

▫️The overwhelming goodness of God’s character (and His justice) is the focus of the passage, and the emphasis is on the fact that everything the Lord does is characterized by these attributes;

▫️There is a reminder that God Himself is fully trustworthy, therefore anything He directs us to do is always right;

▫️His commands are always true – there’s never any deception with the Lord! – and as a consequence, He expects us to respond to His edicts with consistent and whole-hearted obedience.

Put another way, God is

▫️Just

▫️Good

▫️Trustworthy

▫️Forever true

Therefore, He asks us to be

▫️Obedient

▫️Faithful

▫️People of integrity

A pretty reasonable exchange, don’t you think? 🔑

      2. I give all praise and glory to the Lord, and take no credit for His work being done through this blog. I’m just humbled that He would consider using the blog in some small way to touch the lives of others – even one person! – is incredible to me.

        Thanks again. ✝️

    1. I thank the Lord for revealing these important promises to us through His Word. He’s teaching me this as I write these posts – I’m merely the scribe of Daily Hopeful – the Lord is the Author!

      Thanks as always, Kathy, for your kindness. 💛
