Be the Blessing

This is not something I’ve ever done before (in the nearly two years that I have been blogging), but I feel led to share a post from my first blog. I feel a prompting to do this, so I’m just going to follow the guidance that I’ve been given.

It’s funny – reading through my first blog, it feels like someone else wrote it! I likely feel that way because Someone Else (the Lord – note the capital letters) is truly the Author; and, as I’ve said before, I’m merely the scribe.

Anyway, I hope that this post ministers to someone in some way. And if you’re not interested in reading anything from my first blog at this time, then no worries! Lord willing, I’ll be back with my regularly-scheduled programming on Tuesday. 🙂

  1. Haha. I know what you mean about re-reading stuff you wrote a long time ago. I do that occasionally, and think, “Gee, Lord, that was good!”
Excellent post about God’s comfort, and you make several points worth gleaning and keeping. I like how you phrased ” I can re-purpose my pain.” In these days of re-using and recycling, it’s a good trigger and a meaningful way to understand it.
Also, ” if we fail to recognize the extent of the pain that we are experiencing, we can unwittingly shortchange our own healing process and leapfrog ourselves into the world of denial.” I love that – so true!

    1. You know, I have had that thought too! We go back and read something that we wrote, have no recollection of it, and feel like somebody else inspired it. Which is what happened!

That’s why I feel like I need to read my first blog all over again, but not from the perspective of the author/scribe – simply as a reader, trying to hear what the Holy Spirit has to say to me now.

As always, Kathy, I am mightily blessed by your comments. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment – I always enjoy hearing your thoughts, and I’m looking forward to your next post with excitement! ✝️
