In His Hands

I’ve chosen this passage from 2 Thessalonias 3 as my verse of the week because of the two powerful truths contained in it:

  1. God gives me His strength (even when I feel weak); and
  2. God protects me from harm. While this does not permanently exempt me from pain, it does mean that there are likely many more bad things from which I have sovereignly protected by the Lord, and I simply never realized it! He continues to do the same in our present and future, too. This certainly gives us good cause to be thankful, no?

So any time that we’re prone to worry, let’s remember one important fact: God’s got it. And as the familiar song goes, “He’s got the world in His hands….” Our God is completely trustworthy, He loves us very much, and yes – He’s got the whole world in His hands. Be encouraged!
