This verse came to mind it today, as it’s remarkable to me how often I needlessly slide into worry. However, the Lord promises to take care of us and commands us not to worry (notice that it’s not a suggestion!).
These words remind me of the importance of trusting the Lord at all times, and letting His peace fill my heart and mind on a daily, hourly, and minute-by-minute basis. The moment I start to worry means that I’ve taken my eye off of the only One who really matters.
Will you pray with me?
Dear Jesus, I am sorry for the times when I have doubted You and Your plan for my life. Thank You for this timely reminder — er, command — to look to You for my every need, rather than choosing to doubt You and Your promises. After all, with You at the helm of my life, there truly is no need to worry about anything! In Your name I pray, amen.
PS – The next few days (through Saturday) will be quite busy with a work event. Thanks in advance for understanding any delays in replying to comments and catching up on your blogs. I hope to still put up my Friday humor post this week, but will probably be rather silent until Sunday (no work then! My rest day). 🧡
