Trust in the Lord

What a timely reminder from Proverbs! Yes, we are to trust ourselves fully to the Lord, and rather than relying upon our own wobbly (and often inaccurate) instincts.

My prayer today is a simple one. Will you join me?

Dear Lord,

Thank you for taking such good care of me. Remind me to trust You with every area of my life, rather than defaulting to my own feelings and perceptions (which I often do). Help me to walk in confident assurance of Your provision for me each day, and to rest in the comfort and peace that only comes from You. In Your name I pray, amen.

  1. Wow! Catching up on blogs I follow and a huge percentage of posts I have read have been centred on trust. I have been anxious of late about my dad’s health but I believe God is speaking to me through all of these posts to trust Him completely because He loves and can take care of my dad more than I can ever do. Thanks for allowing God speak through you!

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Efua. Praise God that you have sensed the Holy Spirit’s comfort in the various blog posts you’ve read — I often experience the same. God is good that way.

I will be sure to add your father to my prayer list. In the interim, may you experience the full measure of the Lord’s peace, comfort, and rest in the midst of these challenging times. ✝️🧡

  2. This reminds me of the saying “listen to your heart”. Quite often people rely on their gut instincts or feelings on a matter. However, Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?” As you mentioned, we must trust in Jehovah God because his understanding is so much higher than ours.

    1. Excellent points, Heather! Yes, our hearts can betray us if we are not careful! The truth from the Bible is the only reliable standard upon which we can base our everyday decision-making.

Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
