Fruit of the Spirit

If fruitfulness reveals the condition (healthy/unhealthy) and extent (shallow/deep) the roots, how is your “spiritual tree” looking these days? 🦚

I feel that I fluctuate. The parts of the fruit of the Spirit that stand out to me most today are joy, peace, and patience — these are attributes that I desire to cultivate, but then I often act against my own best interests by insisting on doing things my way.

So, instead of persisting with this misguided attitude, I need to remember to simply trust God’s plan and timing, rather than focusing on what I can perceive with my own limited senses. After all, when I remember to hold this perspective, then joy, peace and patience can (and should) become the default condition of my heart and mind.

So what about you? (You can reply in the comments if you like, but consider this more of a personal reflection time for you and the Lord). How are your spiritual roots, branches, and buds looking these days? And what changes, if any, need to be made?

  2. Gods agriculture is pruning. Not an easy process, but all necessary. I just need more sleep. It’s difficult. When I lack sleep, I lack motivation spiritually and physically. Working my way back in the mental health aspect. Slowly gaining momentum.

    1. Just catching up on my messages — I’ll be praying that your sleep improves. Insomnia is not fun — I know from personal experience.

Have you talked to your doctor about trying melatonin? I take one before I go to bed as a more natural way to help me sleep.

Also, stretching (especially the neck and shoulder muscles) can help some, too.

      Hang in there!

      1. I’m going back on my gym routine after next week. I can join more classes at the gym. Exercising helps me sleep better and I can’t wait to get all my things out of storage. I miss lying on my couches.
