Ladders

Now for this one to make sense, you have to understand that the apostle Paul was the author of 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians (two epistles — or letters — to the church in Corinth), found in the New Testament. This cartoon offers a humorous play on words (letter/ladder), and either it will likely make sense to you right away, or it won’t. And if it doesn’t, no worries! I’ll post another cartoon next Friday. 🙂

Either way, have a great weekend!

      1. Hi dailythankful, we haven’t heard from you in a while.
I checked your site yesterday to see if I had accidentally unfollowed you, thus I wasn’t getting your posts, and you hadn’t posted recently.

I pray for you still, and I remember that you were taking some time off because of a repetitive motion injury.

God bless you, and all of your family. 🙂

      2. Good mornin to you dailythankful!
        Smiles and Sonshine to you!

Things are fine here, I’m still looking for a job in the new town, but God will provide.

It’s good to have you back to bring us your thoughts here in the blog!

Are you recovered from your injury?

      3. Ah! I will be prayerful about your job search, Lee – thank you for the reminder. Are you looking for the same kind of work, or something different?

Thanks for the warm welcome back to WordPress. I am still catching up, but making progress slowly.

Part of my recovery is that I’m not on my computer or my phone as often as I was before. So, I will be on WordPress, but perhaps not posting or responding as frequently as I did before. Thank you for your patience and understanding (I’m just trying to stay healthy and injury-free!). 🙂

      4. Well it’s good to have you back here even if you can’t type as much as you used to do.

And me and Melissa appreciate you and your prayers very much.

I’m looking for something other than trucking. I’m just burned out of trucking.

I applied to work at the return counter at Lowe’s hardware store. And I would love to have such a job where I can interact with people. (I love gettin all friendly with people, its something that God gave my heart).

I pray still for your certification and your job to be given to you that you want.

        Any particular prayer requests?

      5. Thanks again for understanding, Lee. It is challenging to not be able to be on WordPress as much as I’d like to be, but I am trying to heed the counsel of the Great Physician. 🙂

I will be prayerful about your job search — at Lowes, or anywhere else that may interest you. Is there a Home Depot in your area? My father worked there when he was looking to make a career change — he worked in the tools department and interfaced quite regularly with customers. He said it made the day go by more quickly!

Thanks again to you and Melissa for your prayers! I should know something more about my job search tomorrow — I will let you know what happens. I am praying also for discernment, as I believe that He may be calling me to find a new church home — never an easy decision to make.

I am still praying about Melissa’s health, and that you both continue to acclimate well to your new home and community. ✝️

      6. I pray about your situation dailythankful.

And I know that your church contemplation is a heavy one. As I’ve been there myself. I wrote a post about it a month or so ago about why institutionalized religion hasn’t worked out for me, but I wish that I had a church home.
I only write all of that to help you a little if you feel all alone in your struggle with religion.

        God bless you sister.

      7. Thank you so much, Lee! I will look for that post – I look forward to reading it.

It is important for me to be in a church home, but it isn’t always easy for me to find one. Thanks so much for your prayers. ✝️
