Tuned In

Such wise words from George Washington Carver! I have also found this principleto be true in my own life — when I stop for long enough to pay close attention to my surroundings, that is.

I feel the need to tune in more, as I can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of city life, and forget the blessing that can be gained from a regular habit of peace and quiet contemplation! I think I feel a beach trip coming on later this summer….

Also, speaking of contemplation, I may need to be offline for a few days for health reasons (nothing serious — a sinus infection), so I look forward to reconnecting with you all when I am feeling better!

The way I see it, either this means I will have lots of time on my hands and I can catch up on the blog more fully as I rest, or I will still feel so tired that I won’t want to do much of anything. So if you don’t hear from me for awhile, you’ll know why,

Be well, friends! Much love to you all. 🧡

    1. Thank you, Margaret! The Lord clearly heard your prayers. This is a fairly routine sinus infection caused by being too near a woman with REALLY strong perfume on. 😮 I am thankfully starting to feel better. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

    1. Aww. Thank you, Kathy. I miss you as well! I am hoping to get caught back up soon now that I am starting to feel better.

And you are right about the healing properties of nature, although I must confess to being highly allergic to some of the things (and critters) He has made. Consequences of the Fall, no doubt. 😉

    1. Thank you, Tiffany! Ever since I came across this quote, I have been trying to pay more attention to what is happening in nature, although it isn’t always easy.

Right now, the crickets seem to have a lot to say. And in the morning, everything can be quiet right around 5am, but as soon as the clock strikes 5:30am (if I happen to be up, that is), the birds start right on schedule, too.

I so appreciate your prayers, my friend — thank you. I am starting to feel better, but God’s grace! I hope that all is well with you too, Tiffany.

    1. Thank you! I am starting to feel better — the antibiotics are doing their work. Lord willing, I will be back to my regular form quite soon! Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I hope that you are well (and staying healthy), too.
