A Powerful Prayer

I love this prayer, because it cuts to the heart of the matter and exposes the issues found there quite openly:

▫️Do I trust Him?

▫️Am I willing to obey Him?

▫️Will I wait patiently for Him?

▫️Am I seeking His wisdom and discernment, so that my prayers are “Thy will be done,” rather than “my will be done”?

Regardless of how turbulent the storms in our lives may be, the Lord’s question to us remain the same:

▫️Will you trust Me?

▫️Will you obey Me?

▫️Will you wait for Me?

▫️Will you seek Me first in your life, and pursue Me with your whole heart?

Pray with me:

In Your name I pray, amen.

    1. I like how you put that – “scary and wonderful”. It reminds me of a description of Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia. Pardon the paraphrase, but here’s what I remember of it: Is he good? Yes. Is He safe (tame)? No, definitely not that, but he is good. ✝️

  1. I love this prayer. Thank you I needed to see this. Please keep me in prayer, my right shoulder hasn’t been feeling great. Going to see my doctor this weekend and I’m going to request an X-ray. I know it’s nothing serious at all, because God is the Great Physician. But I’d still ask if you can pray for me.

  2. I do pray with you. Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore, get wisdom!
In my daily readings, I am prompted to rest in my God, and challenged to carry out His works. Sometimes I feel I must not be doing enough. But I continue to pray, as this prayer says, and wait on my God.

    1. I agree that it is the simple abiding with Him that often is the most challenging for those of us who are “doers.”

It occurs to me that I am to simply keep on doing the last thing He showed me, until He shows me something else. It might take two years or eternity — ths interval of time is less significant than my obedience. 💡
